For the third year, the HQCA, in partnership with our Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC), held the awards program to recognize and celebrate initiatives that improve the patient experience in accessing and receiving healthcare services. This year’s submissions once again highlight the focused and important work underway in Alberta to achieve this aim.

Applications spanned all corners of the province and came from a wide variety of care settings. They reflected the diverse healthcare needs of Albertans, and many initiatives specifically considered how to improve the patient, resident, client and family experience for vulnerable populations.

As part of this award, the winners will also receive funding to participate in a patient experience, quality, or patient safety education event.

Please join us in congratulating this year’s 2018 HQCA Patient Experience Award recipients and we hope you can join us on June 1 for the webcast!
